PATA Signs Poland as First Allied Partner
PATA is pleased to welcome the Polish Tourist Organisation as PATA's first Allied Partner. PATA Allied Partnership is a non-member affiliation whereby the tourism offices of nations, states and cities from outside the PATA region can enjoy access to the Association's research, networking and events opportunities. PATA introduced the concept at ITB Berlin.
"We are gradually expanding our promotional activities in the markets of Asia," said Polish Tourist Organisation President, Mr. Andrzej Kozlowski (pictured). "We hope our access to PATA's strategic intelligence will help us rationalise and increase our effectiveness. Our participation in key trade events will create opportunities to meet tourist business representatives in Asia."
PATA President and CEO, Mr. Peter de Jong said: "We are delighted that Poland is among the first NTOs to take up our Allied Partnership offer. In recent years, Poland has demonstrated an assertive and forward-looking attitude to tourism promotion in Asia Pacific." Mr. de Jong added: "We expect more tourist boards in Europe, the Middle East and elsewhere to take up this offer, which will enhance their knowledge of, and access to, the world's fastest growing outbound market -- Asia Pacific."
For further information about PATA Allied Partnership, please e-mail partnership@pata.th.com.
