Join Our IT Seminar on June 27

You are invited to join the 2nd PATA Thailand Chapter IT seminar, which will take place at a hotel in the centre of Bangkok on Wednesday June 27. The expert speaker will be Mr. Har van der Veen, Managing Director of MindWaves. “We had a great attendance at last year’s event and the feedback was very positive,” he said. “Technology has moved on since then and I’m ready to update you about the important developments you need to be aware of in the Thailand travel industry.” The full-day seminar will cost 2,950 baht for Chapter members and 3,250 baht for non-members and is being supported by the Tourism Technology Consortium. The Chapter will inform members of programme details soon.

Chapter Strengthens Partnership with TAT

On April 10, the Chapter executive committee visited the Tourism Authority of Thailand Governor, Ms Phornsiri Manoharn to exchange information and views and offer the Chapter’s full support for TAT marketing efforts.

In the briefing, Ms Phornsiri expressed short-term concern at the downturn in international arrivals from Japan and Singapore, and from the business and meetings sectors in general, due to the current uncertain political environment in Thailand. Read more.

Learn How to Catch MICE in September
The PATA Thailand Chapter’s 2nd Basic MICE Seminar will take place September in Bangkok. The objective is to inform Thailand travel industry executives about the basic concepts associated with the industry. “The seminar will deliver very useful knowledge, tips and insights to executives who want to build a career in the lucrative MICE sector,” said Chapter Chairman, Mr Bob James. Further information will be available in upcoming editions of our chapter newsletter.

Finance for Non-Financiers
Whether you are just starting in the travel industry or your expertise is in marketing, sales, product development, human resource or service delivery, all of us need to be smart with money – in our travel industry jobs and in our private lives. Accordingly, the PATA Thailand Chapter will organise a special finance for non-financier seminar later this year. Whether you’re good at sudoku or not, we’ll make it all add up for you.
